Your voice…it stops the clouds hovering over the skies…. And as you sing,
they linger over the air,
trying to touch those high notes you hum.
You strive still harder to reach imaginary heights, where the clouds reside.
And when your touch finally tickles the clouds,
it rains outside while I helplessly drown inside you…
As you stepped down
It rained no more..
I walked through a random street
Where every step ahead
held a watery impression
of your feet
And as the clouds made way for the sun
it’s light fell on your footprints
To form a million rainbows…
I could see my shadow on the walls which stood between the street…
Those walls, they even held your shadow..
which had slowly started following mine…and after some time our shadows seemed to walk hand in hand….
When twilight stood before my eyes…
Memories of your touch had forged my hands..
And all I could see was your blurry face in the pitch darkness…lit faintly by winking stars and blinking street lights…I waited for the moon…but by the time had arrived…I had fallen asleep next to the shadow of my own…
