The Chinese smartphone company Vivo has launched the new Vivo Y83 in India on Friday. The smartphone has a 6.22-inch 19:9 “FullView” display and has a starting price of ₹14,990. It will be available in black and gold variants across offline stores as well as in online stores from Friday. Online shops include Flipkart, Amazon and Vivo’s own online shopping channel.
“We are pleased to introduce the Vivo Y83 in our Y series product portfolio with an outstanding performance and superior camera capabilities at an ideal price point,” the Chief Marketing Officer, Vivo India, Jerome Chen said in his statement.
The smartphone has a 13MP high-definition rear camera with PDAF technology and a front camera with 8MP. Other main features include 1520×720 resolution IPS display, MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, 4GB RAM and 32GB expandable storage. The company also said that the smartphone has a split screen feature which can be easily activated by sliding down three fingers to split the screen into two.
