India’s revoutionary Telecom operator Reliance Jio has reportedly crossed the 300 million customers mark in its two-and-a-half years of operation spree. The milestone was reached on March 2. However, the latest television commercials which were aired during the ongoing IPL season has revealed that Jio has close to 300 million users.
Just to recap, Jio had became one of the fastest company in the world to bag more than 100 million telecom subscribers in just 170 days after debuting its operations.
Coming to Bharti Airtel, according to its earnings report for the quarter which ended in December 2018, Bharti Airtel had revealed that it had around 284 million customers.
But as per the latest regulatory filings, Bharti Airtel had 340.2 million customers on its network in December and 340.3 million customers by the end of January this year. It had taken close to 19 years for Bharti Airtel to garner 300 million customers. But suprisingly, it’s the Vodafone-Idea which has the largest share of customers in India with over 400 million users following the merger of mobile business of Vodafone India and Idea Cellular on August 31, 2018.
