Dance, Drama and Action are the elements required to tell a Beautiful love story. Here it is beautifully captured in Kalank’s two-minute-long trailer. Kalank is one of the most awaited movies in 2019. Everyone is expecting a ‘classic’ comprising of a stellar cast as well beautiful frames. An epic love story in the backdrop of 1940s is expected to deal with much more drama and action than what we expected. There were a lot of details in the Trailer of Kalank.
“Mere gusse me liye gaye ek faisle ne hum sabki zindagi barbad kardi” (my one decision, taken in rage, has destroyed the lives of all of us). The trailer begins with this dialogue. The film is revolving around “forbidden love”. Everything released so far underlines this statement.
Kalank deals with the epic love between Roop and Zafar. Then what made Roop to marry Dev Chaudhry? Is that the wrong decision mentioned by her in the trailer? What will Satya Chaudary do? Whether their love leads to religious conflicts? Whether it would have a ‘tragic’ ending? The Trailer leaves us with so many questions to answer.
Kalank is Abhishek Varman’s directorial venture after 2 States. Kalank is also the rejoining of famous Sanjay Dutt- Madhuri Dixit Pair. Both are reuniting after 1997’s Mahaanta. Kalank is also expected to do well like their former hits Saajan and Thanedaar. Late Sridevi was initially decided to do Madhuri’s Bahaar Begum.
Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan is also a much loved duo. But this movie will be completely different from their previous works. Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Student of the Year were pakka commercial ones. It is also clear that Kalank offers space to act for both talented Aditya Roy Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha. This huge cast along with giant sets is raising our expectations to another level. Dance numbers from Kriti Sanon and Kiara Advani also help to increase the commercial value of the film. Along with that ingredients such as Madhuri Dixit’s mujra will definitely help to get more audience.
The town and the characers are bathed in the shades of red. This ‘Red is the question’. Is it stand for Love? or Violence? We have to wait till April 17.
