There was so much hype surrounding the movie ” Oru Adaar Love” ever since Priya P Varrier became an overnight sensation after her most popular wink from one of the movie’s teasers. This movie gained lot of attention just because of Priya P Varrier and all of India came to know about the film. The immense popularity had its down side as well. The pressure on the movie was also high since many people took a sudden hate twist against the overnight fame she gained.
I have to admit that I started watching the movie with a conviction that wasn’t going to be good. But after watching the whole film, it actually did surprise me in a good way. The first half has a festival mood. You have to throw your brains out of the theatre doors to enjoy the first half of the film. It’s played in an exaggerated Christian school environment. But its okay, I guess, since it offers good visuals and a fun mood. And as the second part progresses, the movie shifts its gears to a higher pace and then its more realistic and actually ends with a baffling twist. I don’t think the most audience would agree with me. Because the mood of the movie in the first and second half is completely different. And most people might say “Why would the director do that?”. But I think that’s the beauty of this film.
I would not say that all the cast in the movie were perfect. They were all talented. But some of them were not very convincing as school students. It looked like college students dressed up
