The most awaited OnePlus 6 is finally launched by the company at an event held in London. The smartphone comes in three configurations at a price starting from £469. Even though the event launched the phone globally, OnePlus 6 will only hit the markets of India and China on May 17th.
Things to know about the new OnePlus6
There are mainly three color variants for OnePlus 6; The Midnight Black version which is made of glass but features a matte finish, Mirror black variant, also the Silk White version which is a limited edition. Both Midnight black and Mirror black variants will be released on May 22 while the Silk white option will be available from June 5.
OnePlus 6 has an all-glass design for the first time, with Gorilla glass protection
It has a 6.28-inch full-HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio. The company has also confirmed that the phone will come with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage space.
The smartphone has a vertically aligned dual rear camera, with a 20-megapixel primary sensor and a 16-megapixel secondary sensor. As for the selfie, it has a 16-megapixel camera. The camera upgrades include; improved lowlight photography, better portrait mode effects, slo-mo videos, and video editing feature.
OnePlus 6 has a 3300mAh Dash Charge-compatible battery. It includes face unlock as well as a fingerprint sensor.
Starting tonight, the Android 8.1 Oreo-based smartphone which has the OxygenOS custom UI will get the Android P Beta for users to sideload.
