Mozilla has launched a new nimble and fast version of its mobile browser in India. The ‘Firefox Lite’ browser had first debuted in Indonesia last August and was introduced initially as Firefox Rocket. This new browser is basically meant to offer Android users privacy-focused and quick experience. The company has also declared its strategic alliance with a few Indian entities. Also, the company stated that the Lite version of the Firefox browser is less than 4MB in size, unlike the original Firefox browser.
Mozilla has also added a Turbo mode for the Firefox Lite version, which obstructs third-party stalkers. This mode would further decrease data consumption and websites will load up a tad faster. Also, the browser comes decked with both browsing and tracking protection as well along with several advertisers or websites that aid web trackers for collecting user data and offer effective targeted advertising services.
Firefox Lite is currently available in 15 Asian countries, including Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
