Mission Shakti, a program led by DRDO, Defence Research and Development Organisation which aimed at creating a weapon to destruct low orbit satellites. It is basically and anti-satellite missile system which has now been proved successful in destructing the low orbit satellites.
On Wednesday, 27th March 2019, the Prime minister Narendra Modi had announced that India has become the fourth country after the United States, China and Russia which possess the ability to Destroy low orbit missiles.
“Some time back, our scientists have hit a live satellite 300 km away in the low earth orbit. This was a pre-determined target which has been brought down by an A-SAT. The operation was completed in three minutes. Mission Shakti was a very difficult operation in which very high quality technical capability was required,” the Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.
After passing this test India have come into the category or those selected nations which claim that they have anti-satellite missiles and they can destruct them.

Rahul Gandhi, the President of Congress congratulated DRDO and ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) for the successful test of Mission Shakti.

The country have achieved alot after the success of Mission Shakti and now it stands tall in the area of space powers.
With all the hardwork and consistency for the scientists, we are able to make India an even powerful country in terms of weapons and space powers.
