KTM India finally updates the 250 Duke with ABS(Anti-Locking Braking Safety System) as a standard feature. It’s price starts from Rs 1.94 lakhs. Earlier the bike was sold in India without the Anti Lock Braking Safety System. The Government has made this safety feature mandatory for all bikes above 125cc and the deadline to meet the same is March 31,2019 . Apart from this addition there is no other change in the bike that had arrived in India in 2017 .The KTM Duke gets a dual channel ABS unit. The motorcycle comes with a 250cc ,single cylinder,liquid cooled engine tuned for 30bhp and 24Nm of peak torque. The motor is paired to a six speed transmission and has a slipper clutch as well.
The bike has 43mm upside down forks in the front and monoshock at the rear end to perform the suspension duties. It has a tank capacity of 13.4 litres . The LCD display shows information regarding engaged gear,fuel gauge and service reminder. Another feature is the RPM alert which indicates the optimum moment for upshifting. The headlamp is a halogen unit with integrated Daytime Running Lights made up of 20 individual LEDs.
