The speculation surrounding the new Quentin Tarantino movie comes to an end as the director is ready to kick-start his new film ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ starring the most famous A-list actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt. These Hollywood heartthrobs are sharing the screen space for the first time for a movie. Tarantino describes them as the most exciting dynamic star duo since Robert Redford and Paul Newman and the chairman of Sony, Tom Rothman declared it as the best screenplay he had ever read in his 30 years in this business.
The film is set against the Counter Culture explosion in LA in 1969 and the actors stated that the script is one of the directors finest. The Other casts of the film are not revealed yet, but Margaret Robbie is rumoured to be the part of this project.
“I’ve been working on this script for five years, as well as living in Los Angeles County most of my life, including in 1969, when I was seven years old,”
“I’m very excited to tell this story of an L.A. and a Hollywood that doesn’t exist anymore. And I couldn’t be happier about the dynamic teaming of DiCaprio & Pitt as Rick & Cliff.”, Tarantino said.
The story plot is about the notorious Manson family murders that took place in Los Angeles at the height of hippy Hollywood. The film is expected to be released on August 9, 2019, on the 50th anniversary of the LaBianca murders. The director also wants to cast Al Pacino. There are also reports that suggested that he confirmed to be in the movie. He might play Marvin Schwarz, the agent of DiCaprio’s ageing TV star.
The first look poster shows DiCaprio posing with costar Brad Pitt in front of a stone building. The film is distributed by Sony pictures and shooting is expected to begin in mid-2018. The producers of the film are Tarantino himself, Shannon McIntosh and the producer of Harry Potter, David Heyman.
Brad Pitt had previously worked with Tarantino in Inglorious Basterds and DiCaprio appeared in Django Unchained which released in 2013.
