The leader of the Lulu group, based in Abu Dhabi, Yusufalli Kader is an Indian billionaire who have recently got hold of the Scotland Yard building in 2015.
That building is soon to be transformed into a luxury hotel this year. The Scotland Yard building cost around 110 million pounds and by investing that, Yusufalli Kader have become one of the high profile investors in the London property market. The building was a home for London metropolitan police for approximately 60 years until 1890.
In Dec 2013, the leasehold was given to Gilliard Homes as a part of the assets to raise funds by the ministry of defence. Yusufalli Kader got the leasehold of the building in 2015. And now that building is soon to reopen as a luxury hotel which will be one of its own kind in the history.
The building was formed in 1829.
The Tarrif of the room will be in thousands of pounds reaching upto 10,000 pounds per night. There will be around 150 rooms in the hotel and the total cost of building the hotel is 75 million pounds.
Some of the rooms and workplaces in the upcoming hotel were the cells in which criminals were imprisoned. The hotel will be embellished with a lot of police and military-related artefacts and artworks by the prisoners which will be put to showcase for the guests. Another embellishment will be a glass chandelier which is the representative of the 40 elephants and a gang of women who were famous for breaking the glass windows to steal jewellery.
Some of the cells are transformed to form restaurants, workspace areas, a whisky bar, tea parlour and a ballroom.
The hotel is going to be am ultimate epitome of wealth and luxury. Situated near the old war office the Hotel is all set to open this year.
