Sleep Paralysis: Night hag syndrome
It is a horrifying state of mind, during sleep, in which a person cant movie any part of his body, completely paralyzed, while seeing someone or something standing in front of them. Even though there are medical explanations to it, some people still think there is paranormal influence to this phenomenon. It usually occurs in those people who have bad sleep schedules, and to those who are in medication.
Exploding head syndrome
It is a sleep disorder in which a person wake up to a gunshot or fall asleep to the sound of a gong. It is said that at least 10% of the population is affected by exploding head syndrome. Especially, women over 50 years of age have the high chance of being affected by it. The real medical reason for this phenomenon is unknown. But there are some medical speculations which say that stress to calcium signaling impairment and minor temporal lobe seizures are the possible explanations.
Free running syndrome
It is a sleep cycle disorder in which a person is drowsy during the day and an insomniac at the night. It happens when a person’s circadian clock is off. Mostly, blind people are affected by this. This syndrome is easily treatable under proper medical care.
This is a condition where a person walks while he sleeps and is completely unaware of it. This usually happens when the body is utterly tired and is in need to full its desire. Mostly, sleepwalkers are not violent; they just walk and grab some food, eat it and go back to bed.
